1. FC Saarbrücken - TT superstar Fan Zhendong has been named Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL)’s Player of the Month for February, the league announced on Thursday.
TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt’s Benedikt Duda, SV Werder Bremen’s Kirill Gerassimenko, Borussia Düsseldorf’s Anton Källberg and TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen’s Shunsuke Togami also received nominations for this month’s award.
Fan earns his second Player of the Month nod during the 2025-26 TTBL season, after winning in December 2025. This is Fan’s first season with the Bundesliga, and he’s already emerged as its No. 6 player with a 12:3 individual record at the time of this article’s publication.
Fan won all three of his Bundesliga matchups in February, defeating Patrick Baum (No. 62) and Maciej Kubik (No. 75) of TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau and Kanak Jha (No. 7) of Düsseldorf. He won all three of those matchups by a score of 3:1, which helped Saarbrücken win both of its Bundesliga matches in February.
Those three wins also increased Fan’s winning streak to nine consecutive matchups. His last lost point came against Bremen’s Marcelo Aguirre (No. 26) on Oct. 5.
Fans decide TTBL's Player of the Month through a social media survey. Previous winners in the 2025-26 season include Duda (No. 1) in August, Togami (No. 3) in September, Aguirre in October, TTC OE Clarity-Tel.Syst.Bad Homburg’s Ivor Ban (No. 50) in November, Fan in December and TSV Bad Königshofen's Bastian Steger (No. 10) in January.

Saarbrücken will play its next match on March 15 at home against ASC Grünwettersbach (4-13, 8:26) at 9 a.m. EST.
