Kuai Man, who won the Women's Singles tournament at WTT Star Condender Doha 2025, will participate in WTT Champions Doha 2026 (World Table Tennis).

World Table Tennis (WTT) announced the first major event of 2026: WTT Champions Doha 2026.

WTT Champions Doha 2026 will take place from Jan. 7-11 at Lusail Sports Arena in Doha, Qatar. This event will consist of a Men’s Singles tournament and a Women’s Singles tournament, both of which will feature some of the world’s top table tennis players.

Nine of the 10 best Men’s Singles players hope to take home the first WTT Champions trophy of 2026. That list includes China’s Lin Shidong (Men’s Singles No. 2), Brazil’s Hugo Calderano (Men’s No. 3) and Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto (Men’s No. 4).

China’s Wang Chuqin, the current No. 1 Men’s Singles player in the world, is not expected to compete at this event.

The No. 1 Women’s Singles player, China’s Sun Yingsha, will participate in this event’s Women’s Singles tournament. She will be joined by compatriots Wang Manyu (Women’s Singles No. 2), Chen Xingtong (Women’s No. 3), Kuai Man (Women’s No. 4) and the rest of the current Top 10 Women’s Singles players.

Though this will be the first WTT Champions event ever held in Doha, the capital of Qatar has hosted multiple WTT series before. The most recent of these was WTT Star Contender Doha 2025, which took place from Jan. 6-11 earlier this year.

WTT Champions Doha 2026 will be the first of two WTT events held in Doha next month. Following the conclusion of WTT Champions Doha 2026 on Jan. 11, WTT Star Contender Doha 2026 will take place from Jan. 13-18.
