The Chicago Wind have dropped Damien Provost (SPINDEX: 2667) from their roster due to his unavailability this season, Major League Table Tennis sources tell Table Tennis TV.
The Wind will add free agent Isaac Vila Ortiz to their roster as a corresponding move. Provost will not be added to the free agent list for Season 3.
Provost finished Season 2 with a singles record of 18-27 (40.0%), a doubles record of 0-6 (0.0%) and a Golden Game record of 57-56 (50.4%). He had yet to compete in Season 3 prior to his release.
Provost was the Wind’s first-round selection in the inaugural MLTT Draft, and the fifth player to have ever been drafted. He was the longest-tenured player on the Chicago Wind, and his release now leaves Alexandru Cazacu (2697) as the sole member from the Wind’s inaugural draft class to remain with the team.
Vila played for the Portland Paddlers during Season 1, and had been recently added to MLTT’s free agent list for Season 3. Vila recently represented the Dominican Republic at the ITTF Pan American Team Championships Rock Hill 2025.
The new-look Wind will return to the table for Week 10, when they host the Florida Crocs, New York Slice and Texas Smash at Compass Arena in Willowbrook, Ill. from Jan. 16-18. All of these matches will be streamed exclusively on Table Tennis TV, which can be viewed on tabletennis.tv, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
